Daisy the destroyer 20
What's everyone's opinions on after a lurcher bitch has pups? Does she still run the same or does it make her abit flat after she's had a litter, for example does it make her run different then when before she had the puppies? Quote Link to post

Daisy the destroyer 20
She's 3 year old mate but always been a good bitch and kept me entertained will take bags full of rabbits but now I've started running her this season she's having her on and off nights some nights she'll run her heart out and other nights she's abit flat I'm wondering whether I put her in pup abit to young but you learn by your mistakes she'll never be a bad bitch causes she's to fast clever and got to much heart but I need to get her going how I had her before don't get me wrong she isn't doing much wrong just goes abit flat now and again Quote Link to post

Daisy the destroyer 20
Cheers mate cause I've heard some people say it's hard to get a bitch back to how she was after having pups but didn't know how true it was Quote Link to post
bobza 910
yes i would say your right , depending on the bitch, after having pups you have to put loads more work in to get them back on form ,they should be fit before having pups then to shape them back up it takes along time , if the pups are 8 months old your bitch if shes a 6 month season bitch would be due in or just came out of season ,she would of when al to fu.k ,some bitchs think every time they come in season they have to get ready to have more so put weight on even if there fed right a condioned right , its very early in the season and to judge a bitch as she was in peak before having pups in dead winter last year you just cant compare, even my dog misses a few early season till they settle in ,but then again still misses a few now and then lol cant catch them all thats just degs atb bobza Quote Link to post
dog man 176
Start her off with good worm out fitness from inside first then put her on fitness program start from scratch again I had dogs for many years and have no problem taking a bitch back after a litter sometimes they come back stronger but have to start from scratch with good grub.
