BGD 6,436
Accip those Yorkshires are spectacular pal Can't beat a roast. Controversially, turkey would be my no.1 choice then beef. I think you're the first person I've seen say they actually prefer turkey over other meats Most folk seem to have it once a year at Christmas because it's "tradition" and would never touch it the rest of the year. Got to be a nice joint of beef as the king of roasts with roast chicken a close second for me

Born Hunter 17,763
The problem with beef is everyone seems to want to massacre it! Rare and fleshy please! I tend to choose the ham tbh. Salty and hearty! Lamb is a beautiful meat but I'd rather have it with mash and peas, maybe roasted root veg but not generally as a proper roast dinner. A bird in a bird is spot on for a roast too. Now stuffing is an essential!

A bird in a bird is spot on for a roast too. Now stuffing is an essential! My mum put me off roast beef for years for that reason. I like to keep a roast very simple. The meat, yorkshire, mash or roasties & one type of green......plus an improvised homemade gravy that's been bubbling away for the duration of the cooking, then strained off just before serving...:-)

Mr Wilkes 2,986
Have a roast every Tuesday not Sunday, Sunday,s are for hangovers, also prefer lamb or pork or a nice brisket joint cooked low and slow for about 8hrs, as a kid we used to have to put jam on the left over Yorkshire puds for our puddingthought I was spoilt as a kid we'd have yorkshire puds with treacle lol, happy days We used to fill the Yorkshires with cold milk and sugar... Mmm.
