Pheasant Eggs

,just curious,have any of you guys ever eaten pheasants eggs,was having a chat with the mrs last night, and she says to me, you can get hen,duck,goose,quail,and even ostrich eggs to eat, but never see pheasant eggs in supermarkets,are you not allowed to sell them to retailers,or would they be no good to eat,or is there a greater demand for them in the game rearing business.

I've had them before, there as good as a chicken egg but a slightly different taste.

You can buy gull eggs (black headed gulls).....they taste ok but they ain't cheap.

They are more valuable as chicks to sell them as eggs for eating. I've not tried pheasants eggs but I've ate guinea fowl eggs and they have really hard shells and give you bad farts.

Some of the old school will swear by waterhen and in fact wood pigeon eggs. Rich as hell and reasonably easy to collect. Jok.

Yeah i have had them. A bit like bantams eggs.

Used to eat them all time they are slightly richer than a hen egg , when we graded the eggs I used to get all the double yokers v nice
