Squirrel_Basher 17,100
Morning all . Does anyone know how to align the ir with the scope on the new rt version . Read the manual but all attempts have failed miserably .Also what does anyone use as a vice type contraption for zeroing ?.
IanB 0
It's only adjustable from spot to flood, not directional. To be honest nearly all inbuilt illuminators are only good for close range , you will get a much better image and range using an external illuminator . Also try popping the centre cap out of the front lens cap, this will help it be less focus fussy over range.
nick703 447
.Also what does anyone use as a vice type contraption for zeroing ?.I would also like to no the answer to this, I've got the xt with doubler and you've got all on seeing the bull at 100yards never mind the bullet hole for the one shot zero, I. Use a bipod of the vehicle bonnet, and a lot of bullets
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
One shot zero is a sale gimmick mate and not do-able to my thinking .Took me 22 bullets on a bench rest to get a half inch group at 100 yards .That was going to the bull each shot then guessing the move back at the rifle ..im hoping by zeroing the rifle that the ir is now pointing WHERE I need it .The whole point of getting the new version was to hopefully get something they have improved not have to spend yet more money on an add on ir torch . wilbur foxhound 480
If you have x and y at 0 then bore sight it with adjustable mounts it can be done with one shot, but you will always fire another shot to make sure it hits the bull,at wf
IanB 0
Foxdropper sorry I mis-informed you the IR is adjustable in terms of aiming position, loosen the knurled lockring on the IR and then adjust to centre the beam as required then lock back up.
