mattyg 1,862
I've a muntjac head in the freezer for a while now and the mrs ain't having it mounted as it is but she has no issues with a skull mount.(strange cow) What's the best way to go about it? Skinning and boiling or is it too late to leave for the flies? Matt
ginger beard 4,652
i always boil them up for 15/20 minutes then pressure wash them. everything comes off just leaving the skull white and antlers clean.
jok 3,227
I know it's a long shot Matt but if you know anyone with an old copper (pre wash boiler in olden times but still used) then that's what we used. As said, about an hour and just wash the gore off. Next you need a skull saw and a nice mount. Good luck pal. Jok.

jok 3,227
Socks. Strange but true. Leave it to the bluebottles and it probably wouldn't take long either. Jok.
