sandymere 8,263
Ball work, near water if possible to cool em down between bouts of running. Take out running with me off lead as much as poss although some road work keeps nails etc in good nick. A circuit of this is about 10 k and does lovely and the beach is good for ball work. With all exercise build up gradually to avoid injury, takes at least 3 months for a dog to get really fit some even a short lay off so if they are way off now will be xmas before they are running right. straight2hand 303
Just give the dog a steady regime on the bike, you will never walk a dog fit! 2-3 weeks of 3-4 miles a day on the bike and that dogs pads will be like a boxers mits - after that its all down to real running.
