druimmuir 1
Hello Nicola I have heard about anti-biotics for bitches prior to conception and yes it does seem strange that she has missed two matings. She also has phantom pregnance's where she produces milk and seems a bit run down, so maybe worth a course of anti-biotics aswell, as she may have developed an infection because of the phantom. I have some anti-biotics so I will give her a course, it will not hurt. thanks for gogging my rusty memory Lee Hi lee You're most welcome , it does sound like anti-biotic may help out. fingers crossed for next time, keep us posted Nicola
Chubs 0
When do you get a blood test done?
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
You can blood test all you like ,count days and hold the bitches back legs up after ,lol, but there is no guarrantee with every mating at all ,although phisical condition plays a big part . scouse moocher 0
Ive posted on one of the other threads mate about a dud stud dog try http://www.fitandfertile.com/ for info this guy does mobile feritlity testing of both dogs and bitches, artificialy inseminated and freezes semen, very reasonably priced too. Although both the dam and the sire are proven theres loadsa things that could play a factor in conception, or lack of. Physical form of both, possible infection in either the bitch or dogs reproductive system etc.... Maybe next time if your happy both dogs are in good condition and your ready for a litter you should try A.I with a good ovulation test either saliva, blood or electronic it can be a much easier option.
