Vassilis 31
Hi everyone, I want to try and make my first shotgun stock for my fabarm titan 12cal. What kind of wood would be ideal for this? @admins: feel free to move this thread if you think it should not be here. Quote Link to post
Deadeye18 164
Any hardwood will do I suppose.Walnut and beech are the usual suspects. Quote Link to post
Vassilis 31
I had in mind walnut because i think it is very beautiful. I will also look for beech then! Thanks. Quote Link to post
Deadeye18 164
Yes walnut is probably the best looking,I suppose it all depends on the colours and of the grain within the piece of wood you get and also depends on how you finish it.I personally like an oil finish but the high grade gloss polished stock finishes you see really bring out the colours etc and look very nice indeed. The one 8,467
Walnut if you make a good job of it will look very nice if you got a good piece of burr to start work on Quote Link to post
