Aye lads, we`ve all been there one way or another - my eldest lad has split from his girl of 2 yrs and is down in the dumps,- " it is over".

Four weeks of mood swings and the blubs - the soft get .

 

Anyways his mates were round tonight and we had a shooting competition on my garden range, using the T Rex.

 

Strictly no beer mind !!! ---------------------------------------------- `till later

 

The piss taking was brilliant between them all and after many a round - it boiled down to a 3 shot shoot off.

 

Damo a new to shooting lad did very well and won,

 

Mark jnr ( soft get) 6ft 8" ufc fighter came 2nd

 

How this cheered him up no end lads, brilliant fun !

 

 

Well - I got challenged by them all

 

Come on Dad, - all three sons in the crowd now, - show them how you shoot, they`ve seen all the photos ( no pressure )

 

It went quiet tonight,- it just went right.

 

 

All the lads are having a beer now and the T Rex is tucked happily away and soft lad is laughing for once.

Oh I could write a bloody book on this one. I've had two very beautiful wives that turned into cows and some steaming love affairs and one nighters that have all come and gone and left me thousands of £££ of debts to clear off with em'... and my HW80 .22 went through most it all with me and is still here, with my other rifles aquired along the way, loyal,and as faithful as ever, whenever I want her. More then any bloody 'bird' I've had for sure.

 

I've even had the "It's the guns or me!" ultimatum ..... Guess what happened there then!

 

When you are heartbroken and in the shit deep over a lass.......Feck em and reach for the ammo tin, your boots and combats and the rifleslip and get out to the fields! I've done my days of crying for a lost love. Thank christ!

 

Then Helen came along and I got her into target shooting. Grand lass. The Daystate Huntsman Classic she has is the most expensive thing I've bought her so far...No, hang on, there was a car! ....Anyway....

 

And I now have a peaceful life with a fine, lovely woman and all the rifles I want (so far) and now't of anything l don't.

 

It all works out for the best in the end.
