M-Dog 1 Posted August 15, 2017 Author Report Share Posted August 15, 2017 Hi everyone, thank you all for your advice, will definitely take it all on board, Its a pain replying because all my posts have to be approved before posting up. Sounds like either a beddy grey or beddy whippet would be best for me, Aussie Whip I will defo work it, like I said will be nothing major just on the weekends and some evenings, I have bought a book called understanding the working lurcher by Jackie Drakeford that I am currently reading. The way rabbit numbers are locally I wouldn't take on a lurcher and the highly strung pain in the arse I've already got is getting worse with lack of work. Can't even give the mad b*****d away either. funny thing to day , i was talking to a couple who were thinking of getting couple retired x racing greyhounds as pets, as they wanted nice easy dogs to walk and keep in there house. they liked old Bryn my 1x collie x grey , they took shine to him , thought my 1x gsd x grey Buck was ok but bit to big for in the house. i was just about to say to them, Buck as docile as a greyhound at home and on the walks , when a squirrel or a rabbit , not quite sure ran across the track to the field , Buck went like rocket after it and jumped a 5 bar gate all happened very quick , the couple said good God , greyhounds dont do that do they , i said no dont worry they great dogs and make very good pets , it just that mad bugger lol . yeh mate lurchers are always up for a run or to, even old Bryn he had a quick run as well , but thought feck it , i aint going over 5bar gate though 1 Quote Link to post
