Jonjon79 13,358
All of the people at work know that I like hunting and cooking. One of the girls likes to hear about my hunts when I've been out and, she likes to see the pictures if I take any. ....... The thing is, she's less than adventurous with what she'll eat - one of the other blokes calls her 'the chicken nugget girl' Last week another of our colleagues was going for her driving test and, this girl asked how I thought she'd get on - I said she'll royally f**k it up (she's nice but dim), She thought she'd pass and, suggested a bet - if she passed, I'd clean the ladies bog, if she failed, that girl would eat whatever I cooked ...... She failed Now, because the chicken nugget girl has taken an interest in my hunting, I've offered her rabbit, pigeon and squirrel in the past but, she's always flat out refused Today was my day off so, I took a couple of rabbits out of the freezer to defrost last night. I cooked them in salt water today and, pulled off all the meat, cut it up and, mixed it with home grown peas, carrot and onion. I used a little of my reduced beef stock from the freezer and, the short crust pastry that I made and put in the fridge yesterday. I ran a couple round to work this afternoon while they were still hot. ...... She was reluctant to try it because I wouldn't tell her what was in it but, she did try it and, she liked it. She was most surprised when I told her it was rabbit. She messaged me half an hour ago to say that she's taking the other pasty home for dinner tonight with new potatoes ...... Like I said, I'll take that as a win 12 Quote Link to post

YERRRRR RIGHT ATVBJIMMY  Honest guv' I make the mix with either ice cold water for a normal pasty or, with beer if I'm doing steak and stilton pasties. Then chill it for 24hrs. The pasties always get an egg wash before going in the oven. It turns our bloody lovely No wonder I've gone up 2 trouser sizes in 18 months 1 Quote Link to post
