Aussie Whip 4,097
Lynx might have fitted into the eco system 1300 years ago but things change, more people and stock, less wilderness. The only good thing, they will need you blokes to control the lynx population unless they bring back wolves. 1 Quote Link to post

Hydropotesinermis 724
Just shows how nuts theses people are why would a wild predator waste energy hunting and chasing a deer when it can just pull down a sheep? Just another way the UK can f**k there farmers over. and why is it ok for a lynx to take deer but not a lurcher.?I think you missed the point there. no i got it,sheep and calves and anything behind a fence will be targeted. So why were you talking about lurchers taking deer? 1 Quote Link to post

They haven't banned hunters from managing deer. They've banned people running them with dogs but you can still shoot them. Quote Link to post

rabbit demon 302
Its alright for an animal to kill another animal for food, thats nature. Its only when a human owns the animal that kills another it becomes cruel and wrong to some types. Why release another feline predator ?. Scottish wild cat is already the apex predator of the highlands. Can see the bigger lynx wiping them out. Their going to be in direct competition. 1 Quote Link to post
Daniel cain 45,247
True wildcats are thin on the ground in Scotland. Atb dc 2 Quote Link to post
rabbit demon 302
I only ever saw 3 wild cats around the loch lomond area in 20 years and I was always on the hills doing some kind of hunting or walking to wee hill lochs fishing. I grew up there. Two I only got a glimpse at for a few seconds and I found a kitten by itself. Im guessing it was around 8 weeks. 250 lynx would push them out fairly quick. 3 Quote Link to post
