A minute later out pops a vixen and walks right to me.

Nice work 28yards is really good everyone normally goes on about I shot this one a mile away and stuff but In my opinion the close you get them the better the field craft well done

Yeah, sold my center fires a few years ago now, I worked out my average shot distance was just under 100 yards.

On reflection I wished I had been out with a muzzloader for this one!

Most foxes if folk are honest are shot between 40-120 yards, I can count on one hand the amount I shoot each year that are what I would consider long range, I.E 250 yards +
