LukeyLuke 0
Hi all, I've recently moved to the UK from Sydney Australia on a working visa. Back home I have been hunting for around 3 year, plenty of luck with pigs, goats, foxes and rabbits but very limited with deer. Most deer hunting I did was on public land which is typically shot out or difficult to book due to sub par aussie game management. In September I will be heading over to Russia to hunt moose which was always a dream of mine before coming over. I will be here for 2 years (maybe more, it seems like we don't like to leave!) any pointers on how to get into some local hunting would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to being an active member of the community here. Cheers

Blueboybilly 164
Hi mate. There is no public land where you can hunt in the UK so you need permission to hunt. Best thing that you can do is network and meet as many farmers, gamekeepers & landowners as possible. Best thing that I did to network was join a local shoot. That's my top tip

jok 3,254
Contact Peter Purseglove Forestry Commission, Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. He'll sort out all your deer requirements. Jok.
