Funny enough I was having a conversation about this a couple of weeks ago. Women I know was telling me her husband got attacked while jogging.

I know a keeper that even got it in the face from a common kestrel :-)

Just read this and they reckon it was a feral Harris Hawk now. Apparently they are established over here now and are also crossbreeding with native buzzards too.

I just read that too. They reckon they could be breeding and even cross-breeding with buzzards. I didn't know that was possible.

I've seen an escapee years ago, never a breeding population though!

 

Both members of the Acciptridae family so on the face of it a possibility. Less likely the offspring would be fertile though.
