Hydropotesinermis 724
Uncommon but not unheard of. Late in the year for that behaviour i would say if it was recent we had buzzards fledging 4 or 5 weeks ago maybe more.
Accip74 7,112
Funny enough I was having a conversation about this a couple of weeks ago. Women I know was telling me her husband got attacked while jogging. I know a keeper that even got it in the face from a common kestrel :-)

Born Hunter 17,829
Just read this and they reckon it was a feral Harris Hawk now. Apparently they are established over here now and are also crossbreeding with native buzzards too. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/03/escaped-harris-hawks-attacking-runners-walkers-prompting-fears/ Of course matey could be saying that to take the heat off of his precious Buzzards..... Both members of the Acciptridae family so on the face of it a possibility. Less likely the offspring would be fertile though.
