Dropped another this evening with the 22 Hornet. Definitely my favourite calibre. The homeloaded 40GR V-Max continue to do me proud. Bit tricky tonight with a variable 12mph wind.

It's a Falcon Menace M18. Good scope. I'd recommend one of you're after one for the 222

Very underestimated round. My mate has just bought the new, fashionable, 17 Hornet. He's been very surprised with how capable the 22 Hornet is with my 40GR V-Max homeloads zipping at 3,000fps.

 

We'll be putting them up head to head soon and I'm quietly confident that the 22 will keep up. He's feeling the same too, after seeing the performance.

if there was only one calibre , it be the hornet in my case 35gr fast to heavier 45gr down ! rabbits 200yds+, fox to 250yds +
