air rifle mod

had my FAC licence back couple of weeks ago applied for .17 hmr.....moderater for .17 hmr.....22 air rifle

didnt think about moderater for air rifle, do i have to apply or do fac airguns just come with them! it doesn't mention any amount of ft/lb either does this mean i can go to any ft/lbs?

bought cz american hmr .17 its the bollocks well happy! but air rifle ill have to look around, what do you experienced guys use?

ive got a 12ft/lb falcon rapter light hunter its great had it for years, do they make them in fac?

no the shot count would be low per fi a rapid 7,mfr or a gaystate air ranger 30ftlb you can go to 40 i think or theres another make that go to 80ish but cann't rember there name

sak mod for the .17hmr & a wierak silencer for the rapid ,

 

with 19" barrel & tweeked, should do 28-32flb,

 

or just get a rim fire!!

Fac Air rifles seldom if ever come with a moderator, BUT if you do not have a moderator down on your FAC for your air rifle you CANNOT fit one. You will need to get a variation (free).

 

If you have been given a slot for a FAC air rifle with no conditions you can get one of any power you want.

 

On the FAC air rifle side of things Theoben rule the roost but loads of manufacturers do them. Falcon can FAC your light hunter up to about 30ft lb, but as the resevour is quite small you will not get many shots.

i had high power air rifle on my ticket i used to run my rifles on helium with stunning results.(it knackers your seals after a few thousand shots).i spent big money on air rifles and have had some nice kit....iv got 22lr....17hmr and 223 as well and the only use for an air rifle these days is shooting rats at 25 yards max.iv gone back to an 1989 177 daystate huntsman with 26foot pound.its great.laser accurate anyone can tune em and if it gets dropped scratched or used as a rat club it dont matter.iv got a 22 air rifle called an airtech ms7 hand made by a bloke in telford shropshire.its the best made rifle i have ever seen.it will go upto 26ft pound and down to 11 simply by winding an allen screw in or out.its away having the seals sorted at the mo and should be back on friday.if you gat an fac rifle it will be worth 30% less than the same model in 12ft if you come to sell it. i wouldnt get suckered into buying dear air rifles ever again when a £200 22lr cz will run rings round any air rifle...

Agree there .There some idiots that take chances ,air is cheap why take a risk ..By the way FAC rapid should give 100+ shots @30.FTLBS.Quietest moderator for it is the AWT reflex one

I've got a dvd of Large Calibre Air rifles,up to .50 cal and running over 300 ft lbs,and they are taking out wild boar and white tail deer with them...............it really is a film to behold,I was gobsmacked!!!

If I knew how to take a copy I would knock a few out on here cos you would love 'em!!................martin.
