terryd 8,650
What if you take her for little stroll before you bring her in and maybe take away her water an hour before she comes in. Just thinking out loud

I feel for you mate I had a lakey dog that was just a nightmare for pissing ... like you never had a problem with other dogs but this little twat had a death wish...it caused a lot of stress in the house between me and the ex .he never got better in the end he just had to go ....your dogs still young hopefully you still have time to sort it ..good luck
jiggy 3,209
Could be a kidney/bladder infection. Even house trained dogs will piss everywhere with it. Edited July 30, 2017 by jiggy
C.green 3,231
Seen it in pups that wasn't kept very clean as youngsters hard habit to break once there used to doing it. Nothing to do with having saluki in it.
Blackbriar 8,569
I'm no expert, but I've learned (through experiences similar to yours) that a tired dog is much more compliant...... I've got a 2 year old BeddyWhippet. If I can't get him out for a couple of days, he's a f***ing nightmare ! Get him out, stretch his legs, and he's a different dog. South hams hunter 8,934
I had a bitch that would do that but roll in it as well. She grew out of it eventually but some dogs are just scabby c**ts
Dinosaurs 2,109
Shh. Think my pup comes into that category!! Took her on 2 1/2 hr walk yesterday let them all back indoors kept my eye on her turned to put kettle on & she pissed on dog bed in kitchen then ran off into garden??? &just as a bonus also most vocal yappy dog ive ever had misfortune to own !!! A mate on here said his pup was like it then suddenly overnite it all came good so am living in hope !! She gets loads of praise when she pees outside. Her Dam died on vets table having C section & she was one of the two that survived out of 9 pups so had a few probs re no mother to teach her boundaries etc. Appart from pissing & yapping shes a nice pup!!! Cheers for replies. Atb
Born Hunter 17,816
So she seems to make the effort to piss on her dog bed, as opposed to just anywhere? If all else failed I'd accept that and try a new approach, moving her dog bed gradually outside until she is routinely pissing on her bed outside. Reinforce that behaviour until you're sure she has the idea and then remove the bed. Just a thought... Edited, also it might sounds a bit soft but teaching a "wee/piss/empty" command, whatever word you want to use, can be helpful in teaching the dog where and when to empty itself. riohog 5,751
its a bit of a job reall .especially if theve pissed in the house before the smell is there and they just carry on or its marking its territory .can do the old way rub its face in it and put straight outside. marshman 7,758
Like people some dogs are clean and some not. I've got a brother that will get rid of a dirty dog real quick as he can't stand a dog that'll lay in its own filth .
Dinosaurs 2,109
Bh. Its not just bedding its wherever she is. I say" busy girl" when she goes as done with all other dogs before. I use strong deoderizer where she goes. Riog. Ive tried that aswell. She is a very immature babyish pup. I know shes only 19 wks but shes way behind all my other dogs at this age. Good job she wasnt my first dog or i would never of had another. Ive had a couple of adult dogs from rescues in the past & house trained them in much shorter time. Think just got to accept shes a nitemare pup & hope she grows up .... SOON!!! Atb
Kay 3,709
This pup I have is basically quite good at weeing outside untill its wet outside then I have to watch her like a hawk , I also found using a steam cleaner on the floors helped a lot as it gets rid of the smell that they go back to . harder if you have carpet I appreciate
tilimangro 1,013
Got one exactly the same, same age as well I think I've cracked it Then she shows me I haven't Pulling my hair out but I think immaturity is part of (pup not me)
