Theres a guy who lives 60 metres from my little girls school with Burmese , retics, etc in a massive vivarium the school is surrounded by trees and has chickens , if one got out imagine the damage !!! Stupid f***ing Pratt’s , things like that belong nowhere near the public . Im sure off the top of my head there’s one loose in Ipswich and in Whitehaven nightmarish The thing with snakes is anybody can buy a snake even a reticulated python without any knowledge about them. There not pets to buy on a whim but something you need to have a passion for.

Wasn't a breeding facility blown over or something? I'm not sure of that one but I know they have a couple of facilities out there that breed indigenous snakes for re-introduction into the Everglades. It wouldn't surprise me though. People just dump their pythons there when they get too big and they have no natural predators. Fish and game are coming around to the idea that they're never going to get rid of them, and they're estimating the numbers to be now over 10,000. Snakeheads are another one too. First spotted in 2000 and they're rampant and they reckon once they get into the Glades it's going to seriously f*ck up the natural balance. The good news, if you can call it that, is there is no limit on hunting either species! A couple of years ago they had a hunt with $16,000 in prize money. I can't imagine getting away with a squirrel hunting competition!
