dytkos 17,820
First dog I remember, parents had a black cocker called Smut that was deaf, used to bang on the floor in the house to get it to come to you. My own first was a corgi cross cairn pup for my 8th birthday, 1966 looked like a little bandy legged russell. Did miles and miles ratting up the brook with a garden trowel. He got a cyst on his bumhole that cost £30 to remove lol, local lads use to call it "arsehangout" lol Cyst came back so he was pts at 8yo r.i.p. Patch Cheers, D.

Jonjon79 13,358
I've never had hunting dogs but, I remember a little black, smooth coat mongrel called Lady when I was very young. We lived in a mobile home and, she used to open the windows and get out. We never had another family dog after that. We've now got 2 Chihuahuas - I suspect that one of them has terrier in it somewhere down the line. Again, they're not workers. They're funny little fuckers that love being out in the woods and fields.

Accip74 7,112
There were numerous dogs about from the moment I was born, but my own first proper was a beddie/whippet at the age of ten. My dad made me make the phone call myself to order the pup. I f****d it up, got fed up with it, dad threatened to get rid, I didn't listen, then he got rid of said dog while I was at school, came home to empty kennel, lesson learnt........the hard way.
