Guest SJM
If you do go to Hancocks place, ask him to unchain the collie stud dogs from their kennels for half an hour and let you see them working, or better still his half or 3/4 stud dogs, after all it is working lurchers hes supposed to be breeding, how many people really feel comfortable buying a pup from parents they have never seen work? A wee vid of my working collie, shes just starting her first proper season as she was trained for stock work, this year I will be running her as I would run a lurcher, to test her out to make sure she is worthy of being bred with a greyhound to produce collie lurchers. The vids arent anything special but there will be plenty more to come so watch this space Trying out the Youtube posting button for the first time so fingers crossed Ive done it right? harddigging 42
ive not read all this post so dont know if ime repeating but i had a first cross off hancock he grew to a large size of 26 1/2 ats he was a nightmare very skittish around anyone and not all that great in the field but at the age off three i gave him to some lads i know in the isle of man and they rated him quite highly so i suppose its what the indevidual wants out of the dog he was very intelligent though a bit to intellegent for me i think that you might be better getting one off working parents that someone has bred to keep one back for themself Quote Link to post

At least your not desperate. You will have more chance of getting a 3/4 bred as you might get someone with a half cross might want to put a grey over it. I hope you get what you are looking for.
