david hancock dogs

Its like any dog any breeding put the time in and get the rewards, its easy enough to blame the breeder dont get me wrong in the past from what iv heard it wasnt the best condition kennels, but i went down when my dog was 3weeks old to check the conditions for myself and they was nothink like the horror stories i also heard but he may have built them recently but they were all concrete with metal caged pens, all dry with fresh water and food couldnt complain.

when it comes to the dogs it self you know what your getting and can be sure that they are what you expect to buy.

you could go get a dog from working stock put no time into it and be dissapointed exactly the same with hancock dogs dont put time in then you wont get the best out of the dog,

id go for the border cross as aposed to the beardies but thats just my opinion.

my dog has exceeded my expectations but i must just be a lucky fooker then :feck:

but best of luck with what ever you choose mate and get the dog out from and early age retreiveing shot game i think it helps alot.

but this is just all my opinion, there will be others that dissagree with what i say but everyone is welcome to there own oppinion.

good luck

i know 2 people that have hancock dogs a first cross and a 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie both are excellent day/night dogs as said already it`s what you make of the dog,not hancock,i know a fella that has a heinz mutt that came from a rescue centre that now catches rabbits. :hmm:

This thread should be locked before it gets to 10 pages then gets locked!

same old, same f*****g old  :realmad:

and every time you post its either moaning or licking ditch shitters arse...so go and play with your ferrets ......and moan on that section .....

Had a look though my posts, and I dont seem to moan too much :hmm: as for licking ditch shiiters arse, you sure your not getting me mixed up?

Anyway, If you enjoy the monthly hancock thread, saying the same as the last one.........then fair enough, you are obviously easily entertained

i just wanted to now what people thought of the dogs who have had them ,i didnt want a slagging match :wallbash: if u didnt like what i was asking for u could always click of the thread and thanks to any one who has replyed with answers about there dogs good or bad

Right, i have reopened this thread. I dont want any more silly slagging matches ect. If you have owened a Hancock dog and have experince with this type, then reply, with the truth, no BS. :big_boss:

Frank, perhaps you should think about how you are putting yourself over to people. You just typed as if you were a school teacher talking telling off children.

Alot of the guys on here are experianced dog men and are pasionate about their sport. Providing they are not picking on someone I cant see the problems with them expressing their views. We all have differant opinions of Hancock and his dogs and are entitled to voice them. Just because you dont agree or like them you shouldnt lock a thread. Its not a dictatorship, we are all entitled to make our own opinions.

Now I don't want to fall out and am not trying to take the piss but can you see where I am comming from and why people might take offence?

Link to post

I am not against Hancock dogs and its not the reason whey i closed the thread. I have cleaned the thread up, to take out all the slagging ect, for the reason you have just said Minion, so that respectable dog men can have a good debate and not tit for tat each other.

Enjoy the thread and happy debating folks, as well as happy Christmas.:drink:

I have an old 3/8 5/8 from him,he's been an outstanding dog.I really do think that they seem to get good at what you do most of with them. All the people that I know that have had them from him over the years, that have put the time and effort into their dog have had an outstanding durable worker. Also everyone that I know that have not been happy for whatever reason have either been offered an exchange or a refund no questions. In my opinion you can't get any fairer than that.

I.V HEARD THEY ARE RUBBISH ONLY HEARD THAT IS DONT KNOW ANYONE THAT OWNS ONE

This is why pigeonhill "asked for hands on experience rather than second and third hand storys"

I've never had one or seen one work so don't feel qualified to have an opinion :hmm:

Poacher9991 you say you don't know anyone that owns one :hmm: I take it you mean personally? As there are a few lads on here that have hancock dogs  World Hunters for one and if you take time to read some of his threads about his dog Storm you'll find the lad thinks the world of him  But then again you could be right he's probably rubbish.

Pigeonhill it would be worth giving World Hunters a PM to ask him about Storm if I'm right he's a 3/4 bred Hancock.

my uncle owned a few years ago used them for coursing mate i.m not saying any dogs rubbish just what i heard which at the end of the day what you hear dont mean nothing
