Rez 4,961
Now then. You may have touched on a soft spot for me. I've had sometime with a comp ultra in .22, a while ago now when they were on the high side of 500 beans, and it's perhaps the best spring rifle I've ever shot. Quite literally a PCP. Smooth as a babies arse. There you go. Said it. However. Stocks wank. Adjustable cheek piece is vertically waaaay to narrow. Triggers no where near the AA or Reckord unit. Some will say it is, but it isn't. It really isn't. My own personal thoughts of course. Bit hard to get hold of now though the comp ultras. Next best thing eing the master but it weighs in at 9 pound unscoped... but to be fair, name a light weight walther... 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,551
Hmmmm Heavier the better with the static hunting off sticks, for me Rez. I have read about the cheek piece being uncomfortable but not heard about the trigger ? atb Mark Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
We maybe on about slightly different models... Do you me the Master Pro... if so, the stock is like a fine air chair and is superb. If you mean the Comp Ultra. Then the adjustable cheek piece was a tad to thin, and doesnt support the side of the gob... However. I would have one. I so bloody would. I think Walther are fazing out the Comp Ultra for just the Master now. The trigger is just my opinion mate. Thats all. It just bugs me that with what is a superb shooting rifle, perhaps more so the look of the unit and the guard are what gets on me tits. Basically, Im just so used to the other makes units. Once you've had a go with one Marko you may get on with it. As I say, Id have one if I could. Probs the Master model. Simpler looking rifle with proper looking foresight. CC's had a Master Pro. I have a LGU now, in the garage... stocks an utter joy to hold. Comp Ultra Master Master Pro 5 Quote Link to post

The master comes with iron sights and a less curvy stock. Seriously though, cant stress this enough, the shape of the stock on the LGU [same as Master Pro] is f'kin mint. It is like resting your face on some Scandinavian furniture. And I have 370 quid in cash burning a hole in my pocket from a 'out of hours' job. Hmmm. 1 Quote Link to post
