This really is a nice rifle

 

In my humble opinion, it was made at a time when Daystate really earned their reputation for producing top quality kit - before they started with all that electronic cobblers.

 

This spent years in a private collection with other rifles of that era ....... it'd be hard to find another in this condition

I've heard a lot of people slating the modern daystste stuff. This was probably made when they still manufactured their kit in Staffordshire and as said above at the time when they had a reputation for quality.

 

My old man did a lot of engineering work for them going back 15 years and as a result I got a very nice daystste X2 sport as a Christmas present one year.

 

Needless to say it's been a fantastic piece of kit and is still going very strong. I've never shot a gun as accurate and it's almost impossible to miss once you know the rifle well. I can't see me ever shooting anything else.

 

All the best with the sale. A bargain for someone for sure.
