Tiercel 6,986
[bANNED TEXT] went wrong Nothing wrong with those carrots, no matter what shape they are they will taste 100% better than shop bought ones. Not one bit of the dreaded carrot fly showing. Well done!! TC

Tiercel 6,986
Makes no odds, you are growing for tasty, organically grown veg, don't get hung up on what they are supposed to look like as long as they are healthy then your doing a good job.

stealthy1 3,964
Some times it can be stoney ground, but most to the time it's to fertile for the carrots in the ground they are planted in, and that makes them grow on the surface and grow extra roots rather than push down the get nuitrients they need. They still taste the same no matter what they look like, they just peel better if they are straight.

jok 3,324
Sussex. I'll have a look when I get back from Hols. Some good honest pics are the order of the day. I'm not looking forward to the number of courgettes I'll be cutting and I know the caulis and broccoli were all coming along nicely. Sunday morning will tell a story. Jok.
