PLEDGEY 496
I like the drawn pigeon target :-) I think some people get too fixated on trying to put pellet after pellet in to a bulls eye on a card target. Personally I use stencils of a rat, rabbit and a magpie made from ply wood. I place them over what ever I have at hand, might be a wooden pallet, card board box or what ever, and spray over the stencil with road marking paint. This leaves a nice visible life size target. I shoot at these targets and I can tell by the placement if I would have made a kill or not. If it's not a kill I know the scope needs a tweek/re-zero as I've had my AA S410 so long now I know how it 'works'. That chair gun is O.K. for getting the clicks on a 17 HMR but for an air rifle I can't see the point. I use a range finder and as soon as I know the range I know where to place the cross hairs. This is why I have stuck with the same rifle and scope set up for so long, it's the same every time. 1 Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,557
Spot on Pledgey . After all the simulated target work the real thing becomes second nature. atb Mark. Quote Link to post
