I've heard a lot of tall stories and exaggerated shooting distances but I heard a cracker the other day. We've had builders here for over 2 months now and I've got to know a few of them quite well.

 

One of them is an airgunner but I don't hold it against him. He has a PCP of some kind. Apparently he and his mate can shoot a tin can at 500 yards. I repeated "500 yards?" and he said "Yes but I have to aim 3 or 4 feet above the can to hit it."

120 yard with the .22, but it took me all morning to do it. 500 yards, I think not, not at sub 12. An oil drum and shooting down hill with the assistance of a spotter, maybe.

I know how much holdover was required with a .308 at 465 yards and that was already zeroed at 200.

You know that really used to wind me up you had a good permission treat the land and the owner with the respect they deserve and next time you go the farmer says Oh by the way i've gave Joe Smith permission he was out last week and killed 100 rabbits and you know there's barely a rabbit about the place , They are simply bull shitters and now are told and i walk away . Quite often you get a phone call months later asking you back as the bull shitters been found out or shot a farm animal

Neither. I paced it out. 123 big manly strides from my shooting position to where I found the tiny little bollock in the undergrowth

You get a lot of "talking bollocks " on airgun forums but not many of them get shot off

can not match that but at furnace mill i did the 75yard target first shot.that was standing unsupported and hit the kill zone.the pellet took an age to hit the target and that was giving it 4 mill dots on my scope
