si brown 8,486
woke up early this morning and decided to make a day of it, so I've been to 4 perms some that I've not been to in ages! this was the first proper session for the 97 and I'm well happy with it, forgot how nice good springers in .22 are. first perm I picked up a couple of woodys got a few more and a couple of crows but couldn't find them due to overgrowth second perm "big garden with paddock "I wanted to see the owner to sign off on something for me but he wasn't in but I bagged the first rabbit for the 97 only saw the one and fired one shot.. 37yard off a fence post perm 3 no-one about and no rabbits:( only dropped the one woody and it didn't quite go to plan! trampled called in on the last one on the way home to a pig farm to see if the farmer had noticed if the rats where picking back up! answer yes please, throw a night shift ... so I had a walk round and fed the pigs a load of ferrels that were living in the rafters picked up a few doves too tonights tea less the rabbit, dropped that off for a mate on the way home! think me and this 97 are gonna get on fine, even more so when I put a decent scope on x4 is challenging atb si 6 Quote Link to post

Was toying with floggin one of me 2-7's, of course, you'd get first dibs if you were interested. But your right, 9x would suit it much better. 1 Quote Link to post

Well mate, what`s your preference up to now, HW 95 or HW 97 ? atb Mark. the 95 is smooth as you like mark and the weight is an added bonus but the 97 trumps it with the re-loading, its effortless and discreet both are 5p groups at 40yrd I don't know how we use to get on before ml dots.. its proper testing using the 95 with the whitetail but it dose the trick! pcp's are good for full on pest control but I way more enjoy the springers atb si 3 Quote Link to post
