The point is a billion dollar company like Samsung is struggling to get it right so how bad are the small companies taking shortcuts and that will run and hide if anything happens. You might have some chance getting compensated by a large company and you will find they have a little bit more quality control and have a team of researchers problem solving and there is a lesser chance of burning your kids in their beds whilst it's charging at night. The lamps are fair enough it doesn't matter if they are cheaply made but those 20 amp lithium batteries pack a serious punch if badly designed. Just a thought maybe I'm wrong.

Agreed ,but the risk from those cells is the same as a laptop or power tool,as they use cells made by big companies. Deben buy a lot of their stuff from China , and because they buy in numbers ,can have them branded.

Incidentally I know someone who's house set alight after a 22a/h lead acid battery caught fire ,when an ironing board bridged the terminals and started a fire.

They go through stringent testing with only the very best cells and parts yoused at the factory.then I test battery's at my home were my family live with no problems. I think you might be worrying about the word cheap jest be coss they will not be as expensive as others out there it dose not mean there was not a team of engineers working on this for last 8 months and I have rejected to factorys in the prosses
