Saturday night on Ch5. Two rated prospects meeting early in their careers rather than being kept apart for years. Could be a very good scrap. Hats off to both fighters and managers.

 

Bookies have Taylor slight favourite. Ricky Burns has sparred both and reckons Davies stops him. I'll bet Taylor but with my heart maybe more than my head.

 

A mention also for the British welter title fight (BT Sport) between Bradley Skeete and Dale Evans. Evans was involved in the ill fated bout in which Mikey Towell died last year. He's said if he wins he'll take the belt to Dundee. Top man. Don't think he has much chance but I'd love to see him pull it off.

Pity Gnasher's on leave as I'd have liked to hear his take on Davies. Think he was well acquainted with the gym as he'd commented a few times on Ricky Burns etc.

I think it's an intriguing fight between two rated prospects, and will hopefully serve up a good scrap.

All the money's going on Davies now, I can't make my mind up. Hoping Taylor can make his height & reach count and his stance causes Davies problems.

Think I'll bet Taylor over the distance.., that means you should stick your house on Davies ?

The flower of Scotland anthem must have got to the Doncaster referee, grabbing and manhandling Josh Taylor when Josh was quite entitled to keep fighting, the referee should have did his job right and got between both boxers.

Cracking fight, and I concur with the above, Davies out and out quit. That last fight, Easton/jamoy was a peach also. Cracking little ding dong. Belgian punched himself out in the end. Still don't like to see the stoppage on the bell, especially the way he'd been fighting. Still, very good win for Easton.

100per cent agree especially when the fellas doing commentary on his fight and calling him on live tv like that ,but mc guigans ben talking balls for a couple of months now about taylor v burns trying to get a reaction ,suppose if both camps can keep it civil and the pound signs add up then ya never know, do agree burns is over the hill but nice da see the lad get another good pay day tho

Think burns crolla fight will be made ten times easier than burns taylor and brewing for a whileso ya might see that ,as a say that was al publicity for team taylor instigated by barry mc guigan to get his stable fights .a will say it wud be a chancey one for burns tho
