She Is Still Not Right

when i was out shooting the other night ,,before i set off i did some target shooting with the kral puncher pro out from 30,,,40,,,50yrds .

 

the grouping was down to a 10p size group not bad as she was like a scatter gun

 

before i did the crown (THANKS CC AND SI BROWN FOR THE TIPS)

 

Next is the hammer

 

NO MATTER WHAT I TRY I CANT GET HER TO GROUP TIGHTER

 

The scopes are not an issue as i took them off the hw100 and they were spot on on that

 

i turned the power up to just under 12fp and i mean just one click away from 12

 

this and the crown has helped her but still getting a few flyers

 

it seems to shoot right one shot then left the next

 

before it was out by a long way but all ways the same right then left

 

down to a 10p size now and still right then left

 

fitted a pod to her(in case it was me pulling the rifle) but its the same right then left

 

and she sounds like a bag of nails when you fire her .

 

Hears the thing ,,,,you can point her at any spinner at the range and she will hit them first time ?

 

and the two times iv taken it out on the hunt she has put the rabbits to sleep instantly

 

its got my head done in .

 

I cant turn her up any more or she will go into fac mode and i dont have fac so thats out of the question ,

 

You can hear the pellet leave the barrel she whistles as the pellet flys through the air

 

iv try,d loads of dif pellets so its not that its the same result right then left .

 

Si brown is going to sort the hammer out for me and if that dose not sort her then its going up on hear for free and some one else can have the bad head lol

I LIKE THIS RIFLE AS WELL THATS WHY IV PUT SO MUCH TIME INTO HER

 

the power changes with every shot as she is not got a reg in her

 

ill look into that after the hammer has been sorted

 

or like i say,d i may give her away iv got a feeling if she is fac,d she may be ok

 

I GAVE £400 FOR THIS RIFLE AND I WOULD LIKE HER TO BE RIGHT

 

BUT SOME TIMES YOU HAVE GOT TO CLOSE THE POCKETS

 

AND CALL IT TIME AND CUT YOUR LOSSES

Mac, a shot in the dark here but fill her to 180 bar only, put her on full power and see what groups you get ?

If still unhappy, take her down to 160 bar and repeat.

I`m wondering what results you`ll get starting on the usual " sweet spot area" - made a massive difference with a Brocock Concept I once owned.

 

If she is still not right, part chop her, that trust/ belief - will not be there mate .

p.s. - are the Kral guns even capable of matching HW accuracy ? To get 10p groups from 30 to 50 yds is right up there, in my humbles

out to 18,,,,25yrds she is pellet on pellet then after that she opens up .

 

like iv say,d got her down to a 10p size now with the odd flyer (no matter what pellet i use )

 

its been on my mind all day i think its time to let her go

immy take up cricket and use it as a bat mate,they look good but it stops there mate,my mate had the same gun spent money over hand in fist ,in the end he got shot after 2 rfds could not get it right cut your losses mate

Try turning the power down. You'll get a greater arch but it might improve the group. I know that some pellets just get wild in my AA S410 when the power is too much. Turn it down and they group better.

If you count your time even at the minimum wage you've spent some money on that gun ,

Had it been shooting to one side only as the distance increased, I would have considered the mounts to be changed but going left and right throws that out of the window.

 

If you can repeat this problem on a regular basis, perhaps it is worth shooting through a chrono for the full string and check what fpe is being produced when the left and right flyers take place.
