The feet on pods transfer loads of grit/ soil and shit into the gunbag.. Don't forget to give it a hoover now and again and clean them feet Rezzy..

 

Anybody else hoover inside their gunbag or am I just a clean freak? Lol. Away to bed lads.. a few stellas knocks fcuk out of me after nites..talking shite ☺

I just think it's horses for courses and styles for styles. I have never used a bipod for the simple reason I have always been a spring gun man from an era when these adjustable Harris type bipods were unheard of for an air rifle; and thus, such a device is useless to my guns and my way of shooting.

 

Had I been a much younger man today with, perhaps, more of a liking or preference for PCPs I might be using one. As it is, I wouldn't want one on my Daystate Regal as I like the weight and balance of that rifle as it is.

 

I'm so used to mootching along and dropping down into a prone shooting position and getting a shot off on a rabbit etc. or relaxing in the aim in a static ambush/hide from resting my forearm on a beany seat bag, without this business of dropping bipod legs and adjusting them to fit the topography of the bit of ground I happen to be on and settling into shooting position.

 

The less noise and movement you have to make, the more successful a hunting session you'll have. I have no other experience of shooting in a manner of a gentle, slow lowering to a knee or quietly down to prone position and quietly, unhurriedly shoulder the rifle in my hands, aim, squeeze the trigger and fire....
