Whats A Decent Bottle Of Wine

Recommended Posts

Never had a drink in 15years, but recently been thinking of having a couple glasses of wine in the evening.

As an ex vodka drinker and certainly not going back on it thought why not a bottle of wine.

Dont know anything about wine dont like the stuff that tastes like vinegar or gives you a banging headache (heard some wines can). Any wine connesuers here?

How about making your own? We've start doing Elderflower wine and I recently bought a coopers pale ale kit to make about 20 litres of the stuff, but you can get kits for regular wine.

Hopefully it will be nice to have something to look forward to in a couple of weeks time. We just bottled the Elderflower tonight so it's got another week to go.

Maybes you right mate. Just everyone i speak to these days bang on about "few glasses of wine". But i guess alcohol is alcohol. f**k going back on that vodka.

I'm quite sure for many people a couple of glasses of wine is code for a full bottle of wine

You get a headache from added sulfites (or is it sulphates ?).......you'll avoid that, and the vinegar aftertaste, if you avoid cheap old plonk.

But, after 15 years away, why are you thinking of going back ? I apologise if Im being presumptuous, but it sounds like you managed to get off the slippery slope......
