Question For Fac Air Rifle Holders

Quick question here lads, my ticket is up for renewal later in the year, Im thinking of adding an fac air rifle, do I have to specify calibre, power etc or do I just put fac air rifle? And get what I want, cheers.

No! You may have to be a bit more specific about your intended air rifle and proposed power output. Tim.

 

It's been a long old while for me now but, when I first applied for mine nearly 20 years ago, my application asked for a make and description of the air rifle and intended power output if it was known. For my HW80 I specified up to 30 foot pounds as I wasn't certain of a precise figure. If I was to add an air rifle up to that limit, I'd be okay to go on. But higher power above this, would have to be specified again I should think.. Make of airgun. what desired foot pound output 30, 50, etc. Intended use and purpose and so on.

 

I should ask your Police Firearms Licencing Officer for specific details about this for your application. You shouldn't have any difficulties though.

FAC is FAC whether it's 13 ft/lbs or 100. You specify calibre but nothing else, same as a FAC shotgun.

Aye just ask for calibre be too specific and you might only get what you ask for more general and you will have room to play with
