Can anyone tell me out of the large felines, lion, tiger, leopard, cougar, jaguar, which one has a body profile and tail like the filmed creature?

Mate ,you won’t get an answer as nobody here has one .Save your finger  for when the next lot of “proof “arrives .

We are going round in circles.

Given that you have zero experience of big cats how do you know that some of the dog species cannot be confused with some of the cat species in appearance and behaviour?

Ffs mate .Are you and him really that divvy .Your answers are on a par with his and neither of you seem to grasp it’s a fox .

For a forum full of so called countrymen a fair few seem very dim .

No, they have just got the bag on with me as per usual.

If they are convinced it's a big cat then to me that shows how naive and clueless they are on natural history.

Agreed mate .For me the time for trying to impart experience has come and gone and I’m quite at ease with smiling to myself now in the belief that unfortunately some are dim enough to be easily  lead while others are doing the leading .I’ll chip in obviously but only where there’s a misjustice ?

I haven't seen the video, or the others. My point is aimed at greb / griswald who seems to think that you can discount a whole genus based on movement, behaviour or looks when there is a band of overlap on all these dependent on the species, race, type, etc.

For my part I haven't seen any compelling evidence of big cats loose in the UK. But I don't discount the possibilty out of hand. In my neck of the woods wolves are present only in the extreme south-east, in the Alps. One turned up several hundred kilometers away in the south-west having negotiated a river bigger than the Trent / Humber catchment. Then it vanished and some weeks later a local farmer had some sheep killed. The dna of saliva at the scene indicated a wolf. We are 250km from the last sighting. Every week over the whole of France hunters drive animals towards static guns. No one has flushed the wolf, but it has covered at least 500km and disappeared again.

There is a lot of the UK where these things can live unseen.

Any luck with the otters @Greyman

Gone as fast as they arrived mate, they only seem to come in the marina when the river is in flood, it’s also busy times in the cat diary so am moving a lot of cameras into those locations put another one in the quarry on the munti last week, in the process of clearing and selling a house and working 50hrs a week don’t leave much time at the moment??

If people claim big cat then what else is there to say, they will continue believing no matter what I guess.

You can even see the pricked ears that are clearly fox like at the moment it is spooked and looks up just before it bolts off.

One of the few bits of thermal footage I can find on Leopards, see the similarity, me neither.

Are people seriously claiming that’s a big cat ??

That’s a fox all day long , not even a thought , it acts like a fox , it runs like a fox , it’s a f***ing fox like ????

Who is discounting the possibility, cats could thrive given the opportunity, the key word here is evidence or lack of it to be precise.

What I am discounting is your bollox about all the canines acting differently to all the felines and being able to discount a sighting just because you think it is 'dog like'.  That is the point.

They can both jump a 6ft fence from the ground, they both hunt and kill birds regularly and if you skin a cat and a fox you would have a job telling them apart ??

Granted mate but the style in which they do so is poles apart you would agree .I’d also say that cats kidneys are level with each other whilst foxes are staggered and the skull are totally different wouldnt you say.
