From what I seen they only mention it when it's been done like the beavers. So I bet somewhere tucked away is a stocked lynx release pen.

Wait till do gooders get near it. Won't need to debate the release they will just cut the locks lol

To be fair I think you're more likely to see a big cat in the UK than a thylacine...

in reality we talked about it before and it's the same as the lockness monster sightings and reports, getting less every year of thylacene indicating it's not there anymore or the tiny population left is diminishing unlike uk cats which increases most years, and once again you can see the range of opinions from most convincing photo to 100 percent not, that's why anything apart from a 100 percent picture will never be accepted

Fair play to you greyman .You are very staunch on your cause ,a cause that I feel will go nowhere but that's your prerogative.

He'll get photos of the b@stards in the wild soon enough when they reintroduce the lynx, another apex predator for our wildlife to contend with, all the ground nesting birds hare rabbits etc. The capercaillie will go the way of the dodo. I've been up close to one of these f@ckers in palacerigg country park back in the 1980s it was lying in its enclosure and then one of the keeper came round and started the feeding routine the c@nt got up big leggy thing with a head like a 30 bob cabbage, more than capable of killing a person in my opinion.they say they stand 1.3m tall thats about 51" ffs.

An area of 10,000 sq miles has been identified for the proposed pilot, which the trust claims could comfortably accommodate 250 lynx. The area would stretch from Loch Lomond and the Trossachs into the West Highlands. Consultation is said to have begun with several landowners

yip seen them up there in fact ive hunted the surrounding farms for over thirty years always plenty of game, they had bison up there for a while, my old mate used to do maintenance in the park and one day he was fixing a fence and a reindeer attacked him it got him in the groin, now its chickens and rabbits they have.

Thylacine are extinct unless anyone has any concrete evidence to prove otherwise. Cats in the UK are far more likely but until concrete evidence is presented to the public, and the peer review is a little stronger than Socks having a dart round to check the photos I'll remain on the sceptical side. I'm not saying it isn't so it's just that I've seen better bigfoot videos.

My issue has always been the quality of the evidence presented. In an age where everyone has an HD ready 1080p video recorder in their pocket these stories should be a lot more frequent with much better evidence. Instead, we get very grainy and ambiguous footage. I understand that you have enough evidence to convince yourself. I also understand that many here will never be convinced no matter what you present.

some of the best uk trailcam pics I,ve seen will soon be available to all as they are part of a tv documentary that is being made at the moment, mad thing is the guy stuck one camera out and has some cracking pics of a black leopard in broad daylight with full sunshine you can even see the spots through the black on his back, there is also a section in the film were proper biologists/scientists in lab conditions do some proper testing on some of the deer carcasses we have found and conclude through tooth pit analysis that they have been eaten by mid size felines IE leopard/puma and that nothing else could have made the same marks on the bones, the thing is I have been involved with the data gathering and personally know all the people involved in the film so how could I possibly doubt it, there are two other sets of perfect pictures and a dead body I know of but the guy that has them has put a copyright on them and threatened legal action if they are ever made pubic, which is a bit sad especially as one of the pics is a very clear pic of one descending a tree, a few people I no have seen them but have all now fallen out with the guy who now owns them, very long story but I do hope to get my mit,s on them one day, so there are a few perfect pics about but people are sitting tight on them and as you say some people will never accept it

the Lynx is probably the hardest one of all to find and if they never had trackers on them when released they would never be seen again, and lastly it was man that made the dodo extinct not another animal

Any idea on when this documentary will be finished/aired? Sounds like it'll definitely be worth a watch.

I agree, BGD. I hope I can find somewhere to stream it to the colonies. You only have to read this thread in its entirety to see how the subject is viewed in the UK. Hopefully, a decent documentary will finally answer the questions after all.

I,m not sure I would say it,s about 90percent done, but everytime its viewed it gets a bit more editing it's been going on a while as they wanted 10 suspected kills before they would do the tooth pit lab bits which obviously took a while to collect, will keep you all posted and let you know when I find out,
