Didn't expect that, lucky pup,and interesting fact that leopards in india prefer domestic dogs to sheep goats etc

I was doing a factory job a couple of weeks back and I got given an Indian lad to load out called manu.. mint kid and mega polite, he worked harder than the other lads so I always asked for him!

We got talking about his home life and hunting was brought up and he told me the last thing he shot was a leopard that killed his dog, he lived in a village up in the mountains and said there a bloody nightmare, never bother with ppl just dogs!

he was a school teacher over there and makes his months money in two days labouring over here?

I’ve got to go back there probably next week, I’ll have a word with him... I know it’s a big county but he might be from the area your going to!

bright lad, he’s got a masters but lived in a village where no one has a cooker or microwave he said we just use sticks!

Lives in the mountains so he is from the region I am visiting, kashmir, ladakh,HP or thereabouts,i will get some pics of people cooking on open fires, its the reason there's so much deforestation, you see them collecting wood all the time.

If he can help with guides or anything I’ll pass on his number to you, he’s only been over here two months and he’s off back as soon as he’s made his money.

Thanks for the offer Si,i am ok though,i have been there a few times and have some old contacts, the ladakh snow leopard guide is the only one but from past experience in such places you turn up and wing-it,you always find or meet someone who can help with whatever you want money talks :)
