Because within the group of people I share data with many of them are better at scanning the web than me and if you search big cat sightings enough you would come to this, then you would see pictures that were shared in confidence, but more important than that is, I am a man of my word and if I told you I would not share stuff, it would not make me right just because I never got caught, I don't have a lot in life mate so my word actually means something to me and finally some of those people who have asked me not to share stuff are on this site, just because the doubters make the most noise on here does not make them the majority I am I touch with some members through email, private message and some I,ve actually gone and met, so even if they never found out I would of shafted them over still, making me ???

I'm familiar with Vimeo. They have some fantastic footage on there for anyone that likes a high-quality documentary. David Neil isn't someone I'm familiar with but I'll be having a look. I just have the one camera in my yard, at the moment, as that's where I saw the bobcat. I've had deer and coyote on it since but it's mainly the neighbour's dogs and the kids shortcutting through the property. With the number of mule deer and whitetails that I see at all times of the day, I wouldn't have to walk too far to stick up a camera but I'll need to invest in some additional gear to make it worthwhile. Plenty of spots I can put them too. Dixie Forest spans 170 miles across the state and is perfect cat habitat. An abundance of food and hiding places!

Nothing to lose imo? I'd have a crack if it wasn't a 2-hour drive with a 14-hour flight at the end of it! Maybe next time I'm over there on 'vacation' I can turn up in my khakis with my Hawaiian shirt and comedically oversized camera and hat! Atvb sean I,m assuming as you mention the Wye your not to far away so yes I would definately be up for a walk out and I,ve never caught a barbel before, I don't know if you would rather wait until autumn as the summer month,s tend to be a lot leaner, as in they seem to move out into crops in the warmer months and feed on smaller stuff like the young of others and the tons of dopey pheasants put down, were as in winter they Move back to the same areas each year and take larger prey, also leave a few footprints in the soft mud, that's why I only seem to find the hollowed out deer from sept to march and the papers get lots of sightings between March and September, also like to say FairPlay to you for being willing to meet me, if you think I,m a total nutcase after at least you bothered to find out for yourself , if I disappear for a while I,m not ignoring you I just don't have Internet when I,m not on my iPad indoors cheers again

Meece 1,957
2 hours ago, Greyman said: regarding the lack of trapping and snaring, two things, firstly the numbers are so small to set out to trap one would involve a hell of a lot of time and effort and secondly after you have caught it in a snare do you go round shouting from the roofs what you have done, I speak with lots of the members on here through pm as they don't want to be involved in the constant sniping and I can assure you that someone has a full leopard pelt hanging on his wall that he caught in a snare, he does not want to tell anybody about it and if I betrayed people's trust they would never show me or tell me anything ever again, so I have a lot of pictures and stuff that I,m not allowed to share because I'm asked not to or I don't own it and despite the accusations of lying and fabricating things I am pretty straight down the line, I,m just a small cog in a bigger machine mate, but I can assure you this thing is real and will be publicly accepted within a the next couple of years, This virtually the same word speak that the Boar man that I know uses..... Xyz has shot one but it's a secret and this mystery shooter has searched him out and confided in him not to let on who what and where. Abc has shot lots of them and the Boar man has Been sworn to secrecy. I sit on the fence as to whether big cats are out there but the kind of clandestine secrecy in all of it is not helping. Either they are out there or there not. If they are, and person A can see them or shoot them then so can persons B, C and D. People driving cars ect collide with all manner of species of birds and animals and if you planted a big cat, it would be pictured and put on Facebook or other media or the public services would be called in to deal with the consequences of vehicle accidents. There would be positively identifiable remains not something that could possibly have been something that might have been something a couple of months ago on the other hand it could have been one of Bette Lynch or CAT Slatters cast off fake leopard fur jackets. All it would take to end the speculation is that one cat in its fresh entirety is documented by sensible means. No one doubts the existance of all of the rest of UK pieces because they are pictured in theìr context. Now you might retort that there are so few on the ground that they are almost invisible. But they aren't so thin on the ground that the people who do see/shoot them manage to find them and then become so shy about the fact that they hide away. But then again if they are positively identified by the authorities then your game is up and its no more the cat expert's meetings down the pub preeching about the CATs. the 243 and the 270 are waiting and so is the Nikon. Kerny92 1,246
I can accept there's been the odd escapee over the years. As for a breeding population of Big Cats, not having it! Something would have been discovered by now.
mackem 26,261
For what its worth I checked the police reports for dorset the area big cat expert Jonathan McGowan lives,no mention of a road kill leopard, also he didn't mention his skin or the vehicle that killed it during his interview with the dorset echo saying he had hair samples and footprints as evidence of the big cats, why no mention of the skin?He also told the echo newspaper he would inform them first of any future findings, but they haven't printed any story of the road kill leopard yet?In any story there are doubters, believers, and those parked neutrally on the fence,if we keep asking for a cadaver as evidence it doesn't us haters that's a kids facebook term or something, haters gotta hate I think I heard a 12 year old kid say that the other week. 1
