You haven't insulted me,you mentioned the FOI and you take it as a personal slight and go off on one,i quoted a FOI page and you flew off the handle, calm down, take a breather, you don't handle evidence or lack of it very well, and why humiliate you, your probably a nice enough bloke in real life,i posted 2 counties police FOI pages regarding big cat sightings, and I aint rich,i am skint, but that's life.

Shame there aren't big cat's mate. You could get a cracking pic of it and make a fortune. Maybe not enough to buy yourself that "private jet" but maybe could do a bit more globetrotting lol

All of these so called big cat experts, they are just self obsesed about something  and ramp it up into a subject of nonsense that they claim to be expert in. Having a meeting in a pub and charging  £10 a head then issuing a talk about their pet subject doesn't makes the subject a reality. A  bloke that I  know was exactly the same about wild boar. he got totally obsesed about wild boar.  It Ruined his whole life. His Mrs and kids left him and no previous mates ever visits him anymore because he is just obsessed. If there are big cats out there now, then they would be more obvious than is the case. And there would be first line examples of their existence such as in thìs video clip. As for the so called experts, charging people to talk to them doesn't make it real. Trapping one or more and showing them in a true and current context would be truth not all of this random reports of could be, thought to be, it is believed, reported and rotted out road kill is very convincing. This is the sort of evidence in this clip that is required.

This is what don' make sense ... why ain' they turnt up in traps or snares if they are here

This I couldn't answer for the UK. I'm not convinced they are around but I'm not convinced they aren't either. To say that some escaped and have been able to establish themselves sounds plausible but I don't move in circles where that evidence presents itself. The publically released evidence I have seen in the British media is poor and unconvincing.

As far as why they don't turn up in traps or snares is honestly something I couldn't explain aside from the population density of a non-indigenous species. I live in big cat country but they're not the easiest things to spot and we do have large and well-established population.

You no through your own experience how difficult it is to get decent pictures, so imaging having to sort through shite like this as well, I will show you two quite convincing hoax,s one of them has been used by several national newspapers as a big cat picture over the years, the cat was photographed from a kitchen window in Devon, but if you zoom in and look the long tail is actually a piece of wood on the floor and under the front foot is more debris making the leg look more feline, were as what you are looking at is a mangy fox, the paw print was sent in to a guy up country as confirmation of a cat sighting it's actually man made by someone trying to trick us, all the toes are the same size and there is no leading toe which cats display, so this is not a real footprint, regarding the lack of trapping and snaring, two things, firstly the numbers are so small to set out to trap one would involve a hell of a lot of time and effort  and secondly after you have caught it in a snare do you go round shouting from the roofs what you have done, I speak with lots of the members on here through pm as they don't want to be involved in the constant sniping and  I can assure you that someone has a full leopard pelt hanging on his wall that he caught in a snare, he does not want to tell anybody about it and if I betrayed people's trust they would never show me or tell me anything  ever again, so I have a lot of pictures and stuff that I,m not allowed to share because I'm asked not to or I don't own it and despite the accusations of lying and fabricating things I am pretty straight down the line,  I,m just a small cog in a bigger machine mate, but I can assure you this thing is real and will be publicly accepted within a the next couple of years,

I do mate and I live on the edge of Dixie National Forest where there are cats galore for one and all! I have anecdotal evidence but nothing coming through my yard. At least none that can be documented. The difference between cats, cryptids, aliens, etc is that we do know that the cats exist but the sticky is the quality of mainstream evidence that's touted as proof. I think that's why I find the subject genuinely fascinating and from the readers of this thread, I do hope you'll continue to add to it. :good:

That's fair enough too. Privacy is a luxury that's hard to come by these days. This thread will continue in a similar fashion I imagine. To the believer no evidence is necessary. To the sceptic no evidence is sufficient. In the meantime, I'll keep my camera poised and hopefully, I'll have a night where I can contribute something constructive to this thread!

There is a hosting website called Vimeo that shows loads of good footage and a guy on there called David Neil's who has the most amazing mountain lion footage, he,s been camera trapping 5 days a week for 25 years, really worth looking up mate, he has been a massive help to me even though we are in totally different parts of the world, but if anyone can help you get the picture your after he is the man, interestingly though he has hundreds of hours of footage he says in all those years he has only seen the cats on 6 occasions for a few seconds each time,  I think the amount of cats with trackers on them allows you to work out were to put the cameras as there are a few spots were several territory's overlap and these seem to be the spots to aim for, goodluck
