The Dorset man has amassed a lot of ‘evidence’ in the last 30 years, including images of half-eaten deer, astonishing faeces, mystery fur and paw prints.

The information you requested is held by Surrey Police. You asked: I am writing to you to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Q1. I wish to know how many reports of ‘big cats’ have been made to your force over the last three years. Where possible, please include details of these reports. I am not interested in personal details of who made the report, I just wish to know what they claim to have seen eg a large black cat and details of whereabouts it was seen, eg a garden, a woodland etc. A1. Please see below. May 2012 from a female member of the public reporting – “around 2030hrs last night near a fishing lake she was in her vehicle when she saw a black animal the size of a greyhound some 50 yards away that caught her attention as it moved with speed in a pouncing style similar to a cat. It was a fleeting glimpse and the animal disappeared from view. Her only concern was that her daughter lives close by and has children and that is why she has called it in” I have also included one from four years ago, please see below: January 2010 from a female member of the public reporting – “Large black animal at the bottom of the garden, her son said it was not a dog and he could not make out what it was. He went towards the bottom of the garden but it was gone. – Could have been a very large wild cat. Animal was larger than a Lab dog and would have to have been agile to get over the fence in the garden. Informant thinks it could have been a Puma/Panther, son said behaviour was different to a dog. Informant has large wooded area at back of the address where it went into”. No police attendance – details passed to Wildlife Officer.

I done a sparrow hawk a few year back that flew into my mates window, all I had to do was fill in a defra form saying how and when it died and I was allowed to get it mounted, Jonathan I believe is a taxidermist so is used to dealing with all the legal side of things, regarding your earlier call about the freedom of information acts we have people firing them off quite often, but there are a lot of reasons they have for not passing on the info, I believe when every police force across the country was issued with the forms 13 refused to supply any information on big cats, what should we do phone the police ??? And when the Lynx was shot in Wales last year we had two refused then because it could affect any future enquiry, And your last point regarding loaning out trail cameras, that's something we all do, if someone owns land and they think they have seen something on there land, but don't want to have people roaming all over there property it's easier for us to go and help them set up the camera, then they can check the sd cards and change battery,s and ring us if they get something out of the ordinary, which has just happened a few weeks back after a guy moved down from London to the Cotswolds, he found a half eaten deer on his property, contacted someone from our group and was given a couple of cameras and in very short time has caught a very clear picture of a black cat that is at the moment being scaled and confirmed, sadly although I have seen the pictures the guy does not want them to become public and as we still have cameras on his land his wish,s have to be respected, I hope I,ve answered all your query,s but you should also realise that just because I,m an uneducated barely literate type of guy there are many people from all walks of life within our group from zoo keepers to university lecturers, members of the police and everything else inbetween so between us we are pretty capable of carrying this through to its final conclusion, Cheers

These sightings by members of the public aren't worth a bollock, I bet there's more sightings of ghosts claimed than big cats are they real too. Look at this sandy coloured cat, must be a lion Edited March 26, 2018 by JDHUNTING
