Tasmanian Tigers always fascinated me, be great if the reports of small populations still surviving were proved correct.

mackem 27,331
there is a guy near you that claims to have been chased by one as a child, it came out of one of those little disused mine shafts and I think he is writing a book about as we speak, I would be highly sceptical of that story, most big cats are ambush specialists,if one was stalking a child the kid wouldn't have a chance and any "chase" would be pretty short-lived The book would be pretty short,as in "Once upon a time I was stalked by a puma........THE END"

BGD 6,436
Think I remember that footage. Fair to say they're such unique creatures that there'd be no doubt what it was if someone actually got footage of one. Be nice if they were out there still though, a real tragedy that such a fascinating creature was wiped out before we even had a chance to study it properly.

Dinosaurs 2,107
Greyman ive read this whole post with interest. About 15/16 yrs ago i was walking the dogs at dusk (3 very high prey driven lurchers) along a quiet road that links two villages when all 3 stopped then i saw what i believed to be a big cat cross the road 15-20 feet infrint of me it was bigger & longer than any ferral cat i'd ever seen. Longer body & long tail. All 3 dogs were acomplished fox & ferral cat killers yet none of them moved. I never told anyone incase they thought i was nuts!! A couple of months later i was up in Scotland with a hunting mate who lives in a village 4 miles from me & he said he'd seen what he reckoned was a " big cat" around the same time & his two dogs both good fox dogs showed no interest in going after it. Then i told him i thought i'd seen one. Untill now ive never said anything about it & seeing all the ridicule your getting im glad i didn't!! Ive often wondered if it was trick of the light or an actual "big cat"? I wish you all the best on your quest bud & hope some decent footage proves you right. Atb

MOLE265 792
On a positive note, I've just heard on the radio that the snow leopard is no longer considered an endangered species :-) the trouble with things like the snow leopard they are such an elusive secretive animal and live in some seriously tough environment so it's really easy to say they are endangered and claim thousands in donations to save them, when they were never really endangered we just never looked hard enough in the first place, I,m glad I never paid £3 a month for a shit cuddly toy that helped them in absolutely no way what so everI really wouldn't know for sure. In that case do you think the Amur leopard & Tiger are doing ok, they must surely be as elusive?I don't tend to donate to such things myself, but I do find reassuring people are out there working on such issues rather than leaving it to chance. I wonder what packham's stance on this is after all he wants too let the ? die out.

Greyman 28,881
I have met Peckham a couple of times he is just a dick x2 but in his defence if one were needed he comes across as slightly autistic which if true can give the impression of having a large penis growing from your forehead, I know a few people who have worked with Bill oddie as well and he's meant to be a real nightmare, unpredictable and a bit lechie
