Shovel shy 4,033
This government here have a lot to answer for. 38year old man went to university hospital Waterford Sunday morning with heart complaints. He was told the cat lab 'doesn't open at weekends' nearest hospital with one is Cork which is near 70miles away. They prepped him for travel and sent him on his way by road in an ambulance. Anyway the moral of the story is this poor man made it 30miles as far as dungarvan where he had a massive heart attack and died in the back of the ambulance. Surely to God someone has to answer for this it's 2017.why close the cat lab in such a big hospital at 5on weekdays and closed altogether Saturday and Sunday. Such a shame 38is no age

Torquemada 288
That's the tories for you It's in Ireland you numpty. One of the big arguments the Tories did have with the NHS was about opening at weekends. The Tories wanted it, the NHS didn't.

terryd 8,599
NHS needs sorting out and backed upto to the hilt money wise. Heard some sad news last week and sounded like a doctor basically didn't pursue some thing and now its too late. More than likely under orders to watch the pennies so reluctant to push things. arcticgun 4,548
its not lack of money that screws the NHS into the ground , its poor management, once over it was run by doctors with experience, now its over run with useless middle managers, all tasked with saving countless millions but spend there time insulating their own worthless existences, ensuring there are huge paper trail, hence nothing getting done and its dyeing on its arse, cries for more money are ludicrous, get shot of anyone with no medical qualifications then fetch in a top class business man with a proven track record of success, not some div with a given degree in business management at some no mark uni, same with the government,, always harking to take yet more cash from the working class, again was the money taken in the first place utilised properly by people with proven business acumen paid by results, but its far easier to keep giving the plum jobs to their failure mates who went to same schools and uni's, same will continue to happen, waste waste and more waste, why should they care? they don even use the NHS, that's for the likes of us

Jonjon79 13,358
Absolutely disgraceful. A department that could have saved the bloke, closed for the weekend because certain doctors piss and whine about shift work. I remember the Union getting doctors to walk out a while ago
