As the title say,s stripped them all and cleaned them then oiled them all

 

and put them back to bed lol

 

bar one

 

stripped her right down oiled the action with 3in1 oil it was the only thing that would remove the factory sh*t they put on now rubbed the action that hard i thought the blueing was going to come off.

 

then i set about the stock ,,,,,numerous soapy baths rubbed over with 0000 wire wool and even a 180 wet and dry rub over let her dry in this hot sun then oiled her up she is a lot lighter now than she was when i did her before

 

she is starting to come together now

but iv had to re strip it as the oil was not taking due to the shit being on the stock to

 

it was drying patchy and in some places white,ish gray

 

so set about her with the lacquer

 

looks loads better now i was going to tru oil it but did not have enough to do it

 

so went the spray root lol

 

iv had a problem with the stock from the start

 

no wonder there dry when you get them new

i lit the crown up with a flash light yesterday and could see a few little marks on it still so set about it again and this time i smoothed it out not had time to test her yet but i will some time this week.

 

Its the same as your regal WAS mate ,,,,the power changes with every shot ,,,,so a reg is next job for her .

 

Or i may send her off to the same guy that did the regal for you .

 

Im in the same boat as you were with the regal iv got a beautiful rifle the stock is stunning ,,,,the power is up to 11,9fp just under 12fp very very accurate NOW,,until the power starts to drop.

 

Dont get me wrong Simon iv had her out on the hunt twice now and she has not missed a beat hits every thing you aim at and its lights out for them in an instant ,

 

I just feel she is not right ...she groups well now out to 30,,,40 yrds,,,but could be better like iv say,d iv re done the crown now ,,,,,,,so need to test her again ,,,,or it could be once the power starts to drop off so a reg is going into her any way .

 

and she is very hold sensitive as well (no pod yet) unusual for a pcp i know or it could be me pulling the trigger (remember the 97 you had to help me with)

 

So first job is going to be the trigger im going to lighten it off a bit

 

IV HAD JUST ABOUT EVERY THING DONE TO THIS RIFLE SIMON AND WHEN YOU DISHED OUT £400 BEANS YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO TOUCH IT NEVER MIND A FULL STRIP DOWN LOL

 

I think my confidence in her is gone and that is a problem .

 

I may even give it away to some one that just plinks on in there garden

 

we will have to wait and see .
