Hero Finsbury Park mosque imam describes stopping terror suspect from being attacked by angry 'mob'http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/finsbury-park-mosque-attack-hero-imam-describes-protecting-terror-suspect-from-angry-crowd-a3568291.html

A heroic imam has described how he protected a suspected terrorist from an angry "mob" after Muslims were mown down outside his Finsbury Park mosque.

Mohammed Mahmoud said he had just finished prayers when a panicked man ran in claiming someone had run over a group of people and tried to kill them.

Outside, he found the suspect being held by around three people while a shocked crowd encircled him, before the imam stepped in to calm the situation.

One man, who had collapsed before the attack, died and another ten were injured by a van driver who allegedly shouted I want to kill all Muslims and Ive done my bit after driving into people on Seven Sisters Road at around 12.15am.

The imam told reporters: By Gods grace we managed to surround him and to protect him from any harm.

We stopped all forms of attack and abuse towards him that were coming from every angle.

Mr Mahmoud said he told police when they arrived that a mob was attempting to take the suspect and God forbid he might be seriously hurt.

The imam said he was helped by a group of other Muslims who managed to push people back at the scene and stop them attacking the 48-year-old suspect.

He said: They managed to calm people down and extinguish any flames of violence or anger or mob rule that would that would have taken charge had this group of mature brothers not stepped in.

Mr Mahmoud went on: After the incident people were calm, people were praying for the victims of the attack.

slightly off topic, but as its called the hunting life is there any form of country activity that you actually participate in as I get the feeling you are in an office wearing a suit being a deliberate ass just to get a reaction from people, personally I suspect everything about you as being a troll and possibly even worse your leftie views would make it totally impossible to be involved in any kind of country sports unless you lie to all your leftie mates as well, because I,m sure if Corbin and abbot new you supported hunting you would be as welcome at a labour meeting as you are here, so I would urge everyone here to be very carefull how they reply to you and even go a step further and block you from the site as you are a proper wrong un

While I don't think he should be blocked as in a way I enjoy reading bgd's bull$hit. I used to like it more when he would bite, but I guess you can't have it all sometimes. I have been very suspicious of his agenda for a long time and I have asked him a few times what his agenda is as he spends a lot of time on here and I have never heard of him ever hunting. I think he uses this site for material for his gutter journalism. I definitely agree people should be very careful what they say around him and basically from the time I first got on here i thought bgd was a wrong un.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's the type of person to have folders on lads on here.

Full of screen shots of what they been saying on here.

Hes definitely is a dodgy character without doubt.

Very strange comments from him.

It was either someone died of a heart attack watching a badly driven van or it was this one....

A van driver has died near Calais after refugees blockaded a motorway with tree trunks, causing a crash in which the vehicle caught fire.

The vehicle, reportedly registered in Poland, ignited early on Tuesday morning after ploughing into a lorry that had been forced to stop because of the obstruction.

French authorities said it was the first time such a makeshift roadblock had caused the death of a driver since the arrival of large numbers of refugees in the area in 2014.

Related: Refugees start to gather in Calais again, months after camp was closed

The accident happened at about 3.45am on the A16 motorway near Guemps, a farming community five miles south-east of Calais.

“A barrage of tree trunks was set up by migrants on the A16 between junctions 49 and 50,” the local prefecture said in a statement. “This caused the death of the driver of a van registered in Poland. The van hit one of three HGVs blocked by the barrage and caught fire.”

Officials said the identity of the driver was difficult to establish because of the extent of the burns. French police said they arrested nine Eritreans found aboard one of the blockaded lorries. The A16 was closed.

In May, refugees desperate to cross the Channel to the UK began to regroup near France’s eastern ports and the Channel tunnel. Last autumn the French authorities cleared thousands of people from the refugee camp near Calais.

By blocking roads leading to the Calais ferry port, refugees aim to slow lorries and other vehicles enough to jump aboard and hide. However, police had believed the problem had been stopped by the closure of the camp.

At least 8,000 migrants, among them around 1,200 minors, from impromptu camps in the coastal region, were redistributed to cities, towns and villages across France last October. Most had made their way to Calais after long land and sea journeys from Afghanistan, Sudan and Eritrea.

Still desperate to reach Britain, many have since returned. Their hopes of doing so have been thwarted by increasingly higher walls, razor wire and security around the port and Channel tunnel.

During his successful presidential campaign in April, Emmanuel Macron said he would renegotiate the Le Touquet agreement that allows British border police to operate in Calais.

“I want to put the Le Touquet border deal back on the table. It must be renegotiated, especially the parts that deal with the fate of isolated child migrants,” Macron told French television. “There is no easy solution to the migrant crisis. If there was one, it would have been found.”

These people aren't refugees, they are economic migrants hoping to get the money that we dish out to them . They are refugees when they hit the first safe country they come to , they have had to go through a load of other countries to get to France . Why don't they stay and make a "new life" in France ? We all know the answer, lot of East Africans trying as well , and all men !!! Where are the women??? Those people will not contribute to our economy whatsoever.

My view is that if you want to exercise your right to free speech, you must accept the responsibility to listen to those who disagree with you.

If you are open about your views - political, religious, social, cultural, whatever - you can, and should, expect to have them questioned.....and you should be able to defend them !

Problems arise when a group of people see any questioning of their belief as a personal attack.....

Apparently this particular scumbag terrorist was born in Singapore, him and his entire extended family should definitely be deported and anyone who disagrees is clearly a terrorist sympathiser

Osborne was born in Singapore but raised by his parents John and Christine in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, where he attended Broadoak Mathematics and Computing College.
