When The Time Is Right

Oreet lads just bought my self a cracking bedlington x Wheaton x greyhound pup bang on temperament excellent on the recall saying I got him less than a week ago and is just the same on retrieve anyway want to use him for coursing rabbit and ferreting but I don't know anyone with ferrets at the moment I used to go ferreting with my dad when I was younger and still have about 80 nets and locaters so looking to get back into it but no permission at the min (currently searching high and low for that yes!!! ) I also have a daystate wolverine btype I could bring along anyway when the time comes and the dogs old enuff if I could tag along purely To get my dog used to working with ferrets and what to do when they bolt and a lil sport for me haha could do a little job (Ime a scaffolder) in return for letting me jump on with ya my names john 23yr old and from Wigan north west cheers John n kush

Need to get your pup broken to ferrets quickly or will be harder to do so. Don't think you'll find anyone willing to let you tag along ferreting with a dog that's not rock steady with ferrets. If I was you I would buy a couple of kits from working stock should be plenty about this time of year. Good luck though mate

aye get a couple of kits and gently does it. Depending on the dogs attitude kits will be quite tempting but as its a pup you are in good position. My dog has been around ferrets all his life but never seen a kit until a week or two ago and lets just say things didn't go that well :no: But he is on track with them now
