si brown 8,486
finished work early today as the scaffolders had gone on the pi55 so i took a drive through to pickering guns, been thinking about getting something for a while! so i bought this.. this is not a review just a bit of a comparison of air arms to the hw springers that have been covered by a few of the lads! first impressions it looked like sh1t because they have decided to spray them after production to protect the Finnish i knew it wasn't a problem as i knew it would come up fine but rob in the shop was well pissed off cos he'd spent ages trying to clean it! the safety was seized off by the oil/gunk but i knew i was going to strip it straight away before i used it so that was my bargaining power for a discount and a free tbt drop in kit the new rifle just did a quick test before i stripped it so i set about stripping it down.. this is the gunk before! inside its fair to say it was well greased up except where it should be! rubbish pic but theres loads in this comp tube so did a full on de grease ....polished all the bits that needed it including the cocking rail as it makes it way nicer to cock! the spring ends were about the same standard as the ones in my 95 so they got finished off properly before after had to cut the drop in guid down cos there always to long greased the guides lightly and gave the bearings a bit of the bumslide treatment! pulled to bits, fettled and back together ready for some testing tomorrow nice and shiny now and alls good might be boring for some but some of the lads like it!! cheers si 2 Quote Link to post

Anyways your chrono` figures of 744 ft/sec, 8.4 g Fields, before you touched her, say she was originally doing 10.33 ft/lbs. According to air gun calculator, not me. Great post Si atb Mark 1 Quote Link to post

mark williams 7,558
Si - have a ganders, if it helps any mate, very similar guns. The difference to the T Rex was just incredible mate and it`s accuracy is through the roof and boy does she hit hard and legal. anyways, atb mate, Mark. 1 Quote Link to post
