"..........well we don't get many dark skinned people with rucksacks round these parts officer, it was an honest mistake!"

Leave it to the guys whos job it is to deal with it. Hard enough situation for the cops determining who's friend or foe in literally seconds without civillians running around with guns. Only thing tha

Probably not one of their best ideas

Are Not Some "Civilians, ex Service personnel and so on" already and always have been designated as part of the civil defence "home guard, counter revolution contingent" in the event that if it ever it hits the fan?

What is said and what is on the cards are two different things.

All the very best

Yes, I think when you sign up to serve in the forces you have signed up to potentially be called back to service in a time of emergency at any point in the future.

But as you say, what's being talked about here is civilian firearms owners taking on terrorists.

sort of an unspoken thing really ? Surely if some one is coming up the street blasting people and knifing them and you have a gun in the cabinet your not going to rush to the kitchen for a rolling pin

Get the airgunners down there first to soften them up with some pink welts and bruises.

Now that is assuming that all who have settled on air guns in one way or another have never had a life outside of that sport walshie.

All the very best for you and yours
