neems 2,406
Labour are pulling out all the stops here, there's a plane pulling a banner saying 'vote labour' just flew by and there's red posters on every wall, building, post box etc and has been for weeks, not to mention the amount of leaflets they've sent. I'm not sure what to expect,I don't think the cons will completely smash them though.

Nik_B 3,790
I want to see how the polls compare to the results, I think the Tories will do far better than the polls suggested.

mushroom 12,799
I think it should be a legal requirement to read all manifests and take a test based on each one, before being allowed to cast a vote!

Born Hunter 17,746
I understand your reasoning Mushroom. It's a conclusion most people have come to at some point when you realise the virtue and success of democracy is limited to how educated and vigilant the electorate is. My major opposition to earning your vote through a test is that someone has to mark it and write it and that is open to a lot of subjectivity and also corruption. Personally I'd like to see forums take place in community centres all over the country monthly where free expression and speech is absolutely sacrosanct. To earn your vote you would have to attend a number of these forums. There would be no requirement to speak or even listen, simply to attend. Essentially be like House of Commons (without any legislative power) for grass roots politics, anyone can speak about absolutely anything so long as they remain respectful and civilised. My reasoning being that this would force people to become politically engaged and challenged, rather than simply only ever talking to folks of similar political views. It would force the electorate to be educated and imo go a long way to truly making our 'democracy' democratic.
mushroom 12,799
As I said the answers are only correct if they are E.g. what is Con policy on immigration a, b, c, or d There is only one answer in the manifesto.
