Blackbriar 8,569
Let's REALLY put things in perspective, and not clutch at the straws of platitudes ! This is a total disaster ! We will have to enter Brexit negotiations with a lame duck leader (whoever that leader will be), and during the last wasted year, the EU negotiators have been laying their plans and sharpening their knives - we are a laughing stock ! A Tory propped up by the DUP, or a minority Labour administration - god help us !
onion jonny 526
think it showed a lot of younger voters turned out and supported labour as most younger voter ive spoke to have decided to support the under dog and really do believe in open borders and everyone living together as one. me well i think its the start of a resurgence of the left wingers, may is not strong and has to much baggage from her time as home sec and there is no one in the tories that will fill anyone with the confidence to take her place, i fear brexit as we want it will not happen even farrage saying he will come back to politics to help it happen will be to little, some difficult times ahead.
Jonjon79 13,358
I'm proud of our Scottish brothers - Telling Salmond and Robertson to f**k off is a nice poke in the eye for little Jimmy Krankie

A Tory propped up by the DUP, or a minority Labour administration - god help us ! I agree with you, this is not good for Brexit and tbh I don't think it's good for sorting out the economy either. UKIP have really screwed up, there was a golden opportunity in the North of England to eat in to the Labour strongholds and they blew it. She maybe should have got off her arse and went to the debates. That pissed off a lot of people strong and stable what a joke! Only positive to come out of this mes is SNP were took down a peg. So the Conservatives made gains in Scotland and losses in England?
gnasher16 30,022
I cant quite grasp the finer details of politics its too complicated for me....but it dont sound good.....Labour sound a bit like Tottenham to me,hysterical excitement at coming second....but again i cant get my nut round it all and i doubt anything important to me will change anyway. scothunter 12,609
Ruth Davidson is a really good debater and if only may had half her skills she might have did a lot better. I agree with onion johnny the youth of today are not in the same mind set as us. and tbh it makes me feel old haha. Having said that i don't blame them or hold a grudge. After all its them that are going to be living and raising there kids up in the future uk.Its a democratic country and there voice/choice matters. Maybe it's a good thing all this turmoil. Politicians might actually have to start listening to the public and actually work in our best interests instead of their own.one thing for sure they will never take us for granted again lol
Born Hunter 17,746
This is the perpetual two party state thing I keep banging on about. You'll never get a really significant number of people voting for a third party because they are forced to return to their preferred choice of the top two out of fear of their less preferred choice getting in. And you'll never get everyone to abstain in protest because that's like giving everyone the power to annihilate their political opponents and at the same time expecting these opponents to not do that and cooperate in their plan of abstention! The system is fixed that way! There's a lot of previously inactive youth voting Labour purely because they don't want Brexit, When you challenge them on Socialism they're totally indifferent to it. Frankly their politics align more with the Lib Dems (regulated capitalism to achieve greater 'social equality') but wont support them en mass because they want the Tories out more than anything. Likewise half of the UKIP vote has returned to the Tories (or to a lesser extent simply failed to turn up) because they want Labour out more than anything.

scothunter 12,609
Not suprised one bit nik. been telling you guys for months, when some folk were slagging scots off. you need to live here to understand it, and even then you might not get it. Scotland is a strong union stronghold. Loyal to the UK. This indy nonsense became something a lot more than politics. An old firm without a ball basically Also if you get time watch some of the debates by ruth davidson. Shes very good.
